ommemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Demonstrations of 17 October 1961 National Day of Emigration “From the Depths of Memory to the Horizons of the Future”

The Embassy of Algeria in Belgrade commemorated the anniversary of the Day of Emigration, October 17, 1961, under the slogan “From the Depths of Memory to the Horizons of the Future.”

During the ceremony, the national anthem was played, the Fatiha was recited for the souls of our noble martyrs, and a speech was delivered in remembrance of the events of those demonstrations in the French capital, Paris. On that day, members of the Algerian community took to the streets in peaceful marches demanding freedom and independence, and with their pure blood they wrote an immortal epic that embodied the courage and solidarity of the Algerians.

Glory and eternity to our noble martyrs.
Long live Algeria!
